Heart racing. Can't sleep. Anxiety. Sweating. Scalp tingling. Dry mouth.

Yep every single one of these. Also I was jaw-clenching really really bad when my dosage was too high. So bad that I couldn't eat for a day because my jaw hurt so bad that I literally couldn't chew.

Everything Counsel 1 said + jaw clenching/teeth grinding for me. I don't notice myself doing it, but my jaw is noticeably sore when I take too much.

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

How early is it to early to take a week off ?? So I just started a new job a week ago.My office is really lenient and supportive of people traveling. But I still feel bad about it.

Wow! What a day! What type of company starts layoffs right before the holidays? Lost my job this morning and I am stressed out. Is there any chance of finding a new job before the holidays? I'm doubting it.

More layoffs last week at Leo B. Seems they went after more Seniors & $alaries. Thank you France.

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

How do you manage keeping track of and responding to teams chats and emails in a timely manner? I have a hard time addressing chats when I am focused on something else, because I know it will completely derail me. But then I forgot to circle back to the chat when I’m done and I’ve recently been told that my response time is unacceptable and needs to improve, but I’m truly unsure how to improve.

Does anyone freeze with deadlines, and if so what works for you? Whenever I have a deadline my brain freezes and refuses to work. It used to be that my brain worked overtime right before a deadline - now it refuses to work until after a deadline. I think this is because all of my deadlines are internal and I’ve never had a partner look at anything immediately after a deadline. This is affecting my work obviously - any tips would be useful and appreciated!

I broke my foot a few weeks ago and sitting at my desk in a cast is incredibly uncomfortable still. But, the work I do can’t really be done from the couch as there is too much paperwork involved that I prefer to physically spread out. I am a true solo. So, I am my only accountability. I’m usually pretty good about getting going, but I’m stalled out. Send me some tough love to get me going today.

One of the things that my ADD coach helped me with was realizing that I wasn’t prioritizing activities that help me feel recharged. Between work and home responsibilities, I was just burnt out and overwhelmed.

So now when I start to get burned out I focus on reducing auditory overwhelm, getting outside, listen to music, get comfortable, read a fun book, etc.

As we’re heading into the weekend, what are some things you do to recharge and give yourself a break?

Does anyone work in an area with lots of exterior environmental noise (traffic, concerts, trains, etc.) and have tips for not becoming overwhelmed and/or distracted by it? I’m finding that environmental noise has increased near my office now that tourism has picked back up in my city, and I’m struggling to block it out. I’ve tried earplugs but the noises tend to vibrate my office building so the earplugs don’t work well as an entire block.

There’s been some posts on the best planning tools (e.g. planners, calendars, etc.), but my question is how do ppl make sure they use them? I get them and am excited about the possibility of them helping for about a week then I just stop using it. Even if I find it helpful I just never stay consistent with it. Does this happen to others? One of my frustrations with myself (writing it out here so I can work on it) is that I will print out something that I need, such as a traffic collision report. I will read it without actually reading it. This results in spending time without actually retaining info. Does this happen to anyone else? I’ve found that I can actually focus when I truly force myself, but often this happens after I’ve discovered an error or an important piece of information that I should have noticed earlier.

Sitting at a desk all day in word documents is the ultimate form of torture to me. My strengths are talking to people. I am super outgoing. Looking for a new career
