You don’t. The spark dies when capitalism turns your creativity into a service. If you want it back, make something just for you — no budget, no boss, no brief.
I'm a little bit at this point now in my career, yet not ready to move on to what's next. I just started focusing on my hobbies outside of work and shifting my focus to things fueling my creativity. Secretly hoping my job one day stirs the dust up once more and I get back into it.
It was hard for me to come to terms that being in a creative role wasn’t exactly creative anymore. Think this happens to the majority of people out there. Getting out of the work helps, doing something you don’t normally do, creative hobbies, to name a few. I’m not working for myself, I’m working for clients, and deadlines, and that kind of helped my perspective.
Try to ensure that you still have time for yourself and your passion. If this role has become a conveyor belt, it's time to take maybe develop content on the side for yourself.
Should it reignite the flame then consider making it your full time job and put effort into putting it into production yourself.
This is tricky, I think a nice break sometimes doesn’t go amiss. Whether it’s weekend away or a holiday to help you reevaluate your job and life.
