Good lord, how’d he survive that?
Hi all,
I just came to realise Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.
Is it true?
(I got to know this when an HR called me for a Frontend developer role)

Well that’s a helpful email, thanks HR 🤦🏼♀️😂

I just got an email from a recruiter from Google!
Omgomgomgomg
He said that the position is in the Bay Area or New York. I haven’t replied the email. I don’t think we can move to those cities, but I don’t want to lose this opportunity. Does anyone know if Google does remote jobs within US?
I got through all the rounds of interviews (including 2 technical panels) at CrowdStrike before being assured that I was nearing the end of the process and was expected to receive an offer soon… almost two weeks ago now? Anyone else experienced this kind of delay from CS or similarly sized organizations? Did I get ghosted? Anything more I should be doing?

It’s not a golden offer in the comp is lower and the culture sucks. Stay where you are
You could express you are interested but only for a different team.
No need to overcomplicate it. Just something like "I really appreciate the offer and your time in interviewing but at this time I believe my present role is the best fit for me so I'm going to have to decline the offer for the XYZ position". If they press you can say it's around culture / etc, but you really don't need to go into it.
I agree, I would say that while you were doing your “due diligence” you did come across some concerning information and explain, make sure to say it is the ONLY thing causing hesitancy to accept the offer however you’d like to stay in touch for future opportunities within the company and role just on a different team/ under different leadership.
I wouldn’t decline without voicing your concerns- just make sure to deliver it in a very polite way so if it does result in you declining the offer, you will be considered again if there is new leadership or an opening in a different business unit.
I seriously doubt they will fire leadership over this, but when the inevitable happens of that leader leaving or getting fired, they will remember you
This seems like the best option. Because I do wanna work there but not under current circumstances.
And it’s not that I’m getting out squat free. Tbh the cash difference is really there. And for other teams it’s a good place but not for this team as of right now.
And if it didn’t matter for the old team then a new hire doesn’t matter much.
I’d be honest.
If you are that worried about the culture of new company X, I would just tell them you are declining the role, because there is a negative reputation about the current management - and that your existing employer is matching their offer.
Yes I totally agree with that. I think money is a big motivation when you are single :p
But after hearing the negative press my single mind doesn’t want to admit that a company which took 2 cultural fit interview to know if I am good for the company can be that bad themselves. It’s more of that the image I had just broke apart.
Personally, if I were in the same situation, I would decline and attempt to indicate why without giving away who told me this. It’s certainly not my job to get involved in another companies politics but if I hear about an awful working condition then I would be willing to a denial of offer because of it makes it up the chain. Potentially being the thing the upper management finally decides to do something about.
If you don’t tell them why you are declining then you are guaranteeing someone else will eventually accept and probably experience a bad situation. But if you offer a clear reason, it just might save the next person from a horrible time.
Just my $0.02

Maybe try to prioritize here? Also, we don't know your age and life aspirations. Money makes a big difference and you can change teams / find another job if the manager is that bad. Although there's no bigger relief than when your horrible manager resigns ))

I think you just answered your question then. And you're getting a raise ))
