How does a conflicts check when you are moving to a firm after a clerkship work? Would you just list all the cases you worked on?

If it’s a federal clerkship, the judiciary has some ethics opinion that says you shouldn’t list the cases you worked on. Whoever does conflicts at the firm should be familiar with this and shouldn’t press you to list cases from the clerkship.

Yeah, I think that approach is also acceptable within the terms of the opinion since it is public information.

Yep with a brief description of the case and if there were related parties. It’s pro forma

Need advice on a specific question!
Interviewed with Chicago court 2 weeks ago; they decide mid-August. Interviewed with DC judge last week; hear from him by this Friday. Chicago said if I need an answer before August, they'd try to make a decision about me sooner.
Should I ask Chicago for an answer? Or should I wait until there's an offer from DC judge? Maybe seems better to withdraw before an offer is made rather than ask for time to think about it/turn down DC? What's proper etiquette?

Still WFH? What are other chambers doing for task management? Our chambers has been keeping up with assignments, incoming emails needing judge’s eyes, and written orders, all through Microsoft Planner. We share PDFs through Sharepoint folders. Although we still email draft orders back and forth, the system seems to work well enough. We still aren’t operating at our previous capacity because it takes 10x the number of steps to get a motion heard or an order entered—90% of our workload.
