How does one learn more about Data Analytics as a Cybersecurity professional?

I work for a Tier II company and work with the people in data analytics often.

My infrastructure background leads to me knowing the systems they work on, but my knowledge stops when they start talking about data transformations and I assess the security of the databases and data warehouses they're working out of I stop short of anything but the barest unerstanding.

Any advice on finding a pre-mba internship in tech? Will begin firing off cold emails soon unless there's a more tactful way of getting this going!
