Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

I would just keep applying to them, a lot of them would hire you anyways because you would bring a different mind set to the team. But another suggestion is to change your resume around to include the slightest experience you had related to marketing and add it in there. I’m sure you’ve done something that’s transferable
I would get a subscription to marketingprofs and take as many courses as you can. I was a mere copywriter who didn’t know anything about marketing outside of the writing aspect, then I took those courses and it was a game changer for me. I also read marketing books, a couple of the best ones being buyer personas by Adele revella and everybody writes by Ann handley. Hope this helps!!
What don’t you get?
Ah…. I am from a Marketing background. What are the questions you are getting?
Likely you need to be asking for more context on the data you're analyzing. Your managers need to know what you don't understand in order to teach you.
Pick a team member your closer with and ask them for a few minutes for an informal terminology discussion. You're asking specifically about their work and good marketers don't expect people to understand their lingo.
