I actually view it as a detriment. Look what happened to GE, the company which brought six sigma to fame in the 90’s. They gutted the business for immediate cost savings and have been playing catch up for the past 25 years

I think it’s one of those things that can help with internal promotion/recognition because it demonstrates career development learning. As a line item on a resume… relatively worthless
Depends on what you are doing. Very useful in manufacturing-but really better at the black belt level compared to green belt. If you are moving into industry for a high volume manufacturer, people love it and sometimes it's a requirement.
