I'm prepping for an interview for a state agency position next week, and I'm wondering how much I need to dive into local politics and issues. Last year, I heard a candidate mention that they were questioned on specific local policies, which caught them off guard. Should I spend the next few days brushing up on recent legislation and community concerns, or focus more on my direct job skills? Would love to hear how others approached this in their interviews!
