All agencies are starting to sound the same with their strategic “approach” to problem solving or creative ideation. Guess what... your grand idea of “looking at the intersection” of culture, consumer, competitor, brand, and category... is not breakthrough. Every. Agency. Is. Doing. The. Same. Thing. I’ve watched as an incompetent white man and bully got promoted, followed by other such men’s promotions, by a deeply chauvinistic equity partner (also white male) over the years. This month he told me that he’s giving me (nonwhite female), a chance at a promotion, but told me that I always seem to have something to prove. No shit, Sherlock. How does one even respond to that? I’m getting a recruiter and I hope to find a firm without a toxic culture of misogyny. They do exist, right?

RE with your daily/weekly per diem and how much you typically spend

My dev team is so weird. I keep asking them for timelines and they mention no risk. When it comes to the deliverables, they are always late and at times don’t respond to requests asking for updates. Only been 8 months that I started working with devs and I don’t understand how hard it is to communicate any risk to the timelines to your own team member!!! What should I do!
