It is more a aligning the team and having complete knowledge of product you are working in, most often you will have to work with cross team to support the product. Overall challenge role to work
It depends on the team and the requirements. But situation there is kind of unstable
If you are put in Freshservice that's better. Most of the Companies revenue is from Freshservice product, Freshdesk is detrimental currently. Last year mid, they moved huge workforce to Freshservice team. Nov beginning they laid off around 660 employees overnight.
Company is currently turning more to American based, the Indian flavor is slowly leaving.
Overall Good company for customer, becoming bit bad company for employees. Hope the C level management understand this sooner.
Is it safe to transition from service org developer to product ? I have handles critical projects in past 4 yrs.
What salary range is safe here along with stock options?
10.5 yrs .
Microservices, data engineer, AWS, gcp.
Again it depends on your current salary only. Assuming you are getting 20 - 25LPA in service based company for your experience you can ask 30 - 40LPA as CTC. To be up front if you fall under this range you will be on the lower end of their budget so you can ask for JB and stocks on top of that. Its all about negotiations from your end and acceptance from their end
Current is 35 . As I said I believe my skillset is definitely worthy of 60 lpa.
But self doubt about clearing interviews in product companies is what is keeping me behind.
If you feel like you have done a good job on the interview then it doesn't harm you in asking what's on your mind so go for it. Then you can meet the middle ground from there if there is negotiation. There is no place for self doubt here for them you are just an asset on spending in dollars.
