Three to four vacations a year. My expenses are low and I'm almost debt free. This leaves me with more money for vacations. Still aggressively investing for retirement while doing so.
I think once each quarter is healthy. I also try to schedule CLE’s in fun cities so they feel like vacations.
I looked this guy up - thought it was weird his name is Jason Rothman and yet he started out as an associate at the Rothman Law Firm. Turns out his older brother founded it and brought him in. He went through 4 firms before then, of steadily decreasing quality, lasting less than 2 years at each.
I’m not saying he’s wrong per se, but I am not really sure why I should believe him when he contends that you won’t face a career setback or be seen unfavorably by supervisors by taking his advice, when it’s not clear that was the case for him and his own supervisors…
Good point. But don’t delay your vacations. My Irish mom used to say; “ Do you want to go to Europe on a walker?”To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist. That is all. O.W
once every quarter/ season, I aim for at least a weekend getaway
When I was at a firm I had a 3-4 day vacation around Juneteenth. When I came back they put me on a PIP. My next vacation was in October for a friend's wedding across the country. When I returned, they fired me.
No. This was at a boutique.
