Re-org. Bringing a lot of functions in house which were previously outsourced.
Also, need more people as part of the integration effort
Shhh, my fiancé is interviewing there now! Don’t jinx it lol
Both companies held off on hiring for like a year as they waited for the acquisition to close and they have a crazy number of launches in the next 12 months.
Also everyone from celg on the commercial side left pretty much
I was hired at a pharma company in 2008
I got safe harbor and they were able to grab talent
I got to the company as part of a hiring wave when stock was at 24 a share. 4 years later the share price went as high as 80.
That wasn’t a coincidence and ironically BMS has leadership from the company I was at as did Celgene, so I suspect this is a calculated maneuver.
BMS sees a glut of talent being available and is going to jump at the opportunity to hire
There’s been significant turnover in commercial functions since the merger - reshuffling, restructuring, and a lot of pretty senior people have left (on both Celgene and legacy BMS side)
Also they are ramping up a couple drugs into clinical trials soon, as told by a friend who works there
Is anyone interviewing there?
