I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

KGS is working a lot on wlb post lockdown. We did face a lot of turbulence during the initial stage of lockdown and sudden remote work setup but now things are much much better. There are caps being placed on number of meetings per day and working hours. You'll get enough support from management in KGS for this kind of issue. Hike is mostly decent when compared to other firms. Last year despite covid KGS gave a fairly decent hike though it was quite less compared to it's usual hike. I would say you can chose KGS over Deloitte. I have seen both the companies closely.
It depends on your rating mostly.. without promotion or correction you can expect anywhere between 12-18 percent depending on your rating
FYI work life balance and performance evaluation in Deloitte USI is a myth. This has been screwed up the day we launched iRPM.
I agree with D1 but if u want to learn grow and has option to work long hours , network chose Deloitte. Sometimes u end up getting good hike if u perform well .
I have worked with KPMG and Deloitte USI. WLB is better in KPMG. I am finding it really difficult to manage things in USI currently. Everything is disorganised and haywire when it comes to project implementation right from the leadership level
KPMG may have better wlb. Every company has a 6 month probation..unless you perform really badly, don't see a reason why they won't confirm.
Deloitte is better in terms of brand. You can ask them to match offer. There is always some legspac e.
Well I want to know more about KPMG. Can share experience about Deloitte. Veteran frlm Deloitte USI last 8 years.
Deloitte 1 agreed. Deloitte currently is not worth joining if you want to have some wlb. Atleast at senior levels.
They are hiring but they also fired there service now practitioners in last lockdown for no reason. So just set your priorities straight.
Also KGS is promising permanent WFH nowadays.. Heard from a friend who recently gave interview with KGS
Yes. This is correct
Deloitte 1 - Im a single parent.. For sure looking for WLB.. Have you heard about servicenow practice in deloitte USI? They are kind of mass hiring now
Ask deloitte to match the offer, WLB depends on which team u get into (irrespective of company)... do some research on that ...
