I talked to a recruiter there for a management role and she was so clueless about their business or the news about them or the securities industry in general. She had been there for 3 years and still couldn’t answer my basic questions. I personally wouldn’t work there unless it was a senior management role.

They are a brokerage firm, the recruiter absolutely should know what the industry is like. They had just paid a massive fine and it was all over the news and she was clueless. Said it wouldn’t impact the business and wouldn’t cause any changes which is a huge 🚩
Granted I could have been dealing with a bad recruiter but for the level I was talking to her about, she should know more.
My personal opinion is that the regulatory scrutiny and risk are too great for me to even consider making a career there.
On the other hand, it could be like buying in at the bottom if they get it together. You could do really well if they turn around, but I personally don’t see it. If I had to guess, I’d say they’ll be absorbed by another firm within 5 years.
Depending on who absorbs, is it still a viable role long term to break into a FinTen company for a 30% bump?

No one that I work with in the industry thinks positively of them. I knew someone that left to go to Robbinhood right after getting his licenses at Fidelity and he's been promoted to manager within a year of getting his 7/66. That was his first job out of college and didn't have any notable experience prior to starting at Fidelity. So it seems like they're growing too quickly to attract experienced talent, and to me that's not a good sign.
@OP- Were you able to get any additional insights?
Are you still in the interview process?
Considering an Ops role at Robinhood. Had a good call with the recruiter, but intentionally didn't ask anything about the negative press or business technicalities.
