Depends on urgency but I make myself available at all times

like

I don’t have boundaries beyond which I don’t respond. I will say my response depends on who pings me. If it’s a partner I respect for and want to work with, I have no problem going the extra mile. The irony is people I’ve chosen to work with have a lot of respect for my time and are able to manage themselves and the work so I don’t get late pings too often. Only exception being when there’s a true emergency.

1130am, then I go for my siesta

Depends on what is going on... If there is a deadline or something I'm available late, but if it's just a relatively quiet time or if it's random I don't respond until morning.

Situational- how urgent is it and what am I doing. Work hours are all blurred these days. If it is a critical issue sure. If I am working anyways or in a spot that I can quickly answer, great. But also just because they sent the email, doesn’t mean they need the response right away. I err towards responsiveness, but off hours unless an emergency depends on what else I am doing.

I think watch deloitte birthday ad, and that gives you the expected answer 😂

My ex manager used to text me ( personal phone) around the clock, and she always put something like ".Sorry to bother you so late, can you ....?" To make 9pm text okay.

If I’ve already logged off for the day, the next day

if I have an international team I respond whenever, if we're all in the US I stop responding after 9P

personally speaking, my favorite solution to the Sunday Scaries is having a client in Milan, because I don't get a Sunday then

Any time

They send when convenient, I answer when convenient. I read it within 30 mins usually.

Until the point at witch I start making dinner for my kids. After that, if they want to get ahold me me they can call. If they can’t call to talk about the ask it obviously wasn’t very important.

5.50pm.

As the consultant, I am the boss. My clients and I would have an SOW that would define this and create margin in other parts of my day.

During business hours, unless you are in management. You are not expected to keep your computer up all hours.
