How long is a reasonable timeframe to put someone on a PIP for in order to see improvement in their performance? Are we talking 1-2 months? Ride out a quarter? Or longer?

Today after HR round with Morgan Stanley they have given me the amount as 2365000 base + 141900 EmployerPF + 354750 Variable + 4.75 lakh relocation.

Now, I am totally confused which one should I proceed as the amount is also beyond expectations from Morgan.

Please help me in choosing one out of both of these.
