I have received a offer from Cerner for Technical solutions Analyst role. It's a support role on SQL and work timing is 5pm to 2 am. I was checking the reviews on Glassdoor and ambition box and i have read alot of bad reviews on management and dirty politics. After reading all this I am concerned if i should go ahead with the offer or not. Please advise how is the work environment, does management support learning and is their dirty politics within team? I work from home. So I basically vacation year round
That would be unethical
I usually take two full weeks in addition to the two weeks EY is closed, and a handful of Fridays etc. when my kids schools are closed.

Of course it does
My friend who isn’t worried is taking long vacations as usual, my friend who is worried is not taking any vacations.

Ouch, okay (friend)!
I totally get the worry, but taking time off is essential for recharging. On average, I try to take about 10-15 days a year for proper vacation time (not sick days), though it varies. It’s all about balance, vacation time helps keep you productive and mentally healthy in the long run. You deserve a break

Good for you! I took none last year
I know some people who thrive on work, completely switch off in evenings and don’t really need to take a vacation.
Everyone’s different

I do draw boundaries in the evenings so I can at least get a workout in, but for me that doesn’t beat actual time off
I take 2x 2 full week disconnect vacations. Sometimes I have the luxury of not needing to work travel or be in the office and I’ll just take the family and visit a friend/relative in another city to work remotely. This way my family can enjoy being away. Happy family = happy life.

We need more of you
I take 3-4 weeks, including one 2-week a year for full disconnect - Key is to prepare and backfill appropriately. I’m not waiting til I’m almost dead to enjoy life some.
