For those that joined consulting post-MBA, do you wish you had started earlier or do you feel it was the right time? 2 years in and wondering if I should commit to another 3 years for B-school...
Would jumping from D, ACN, pwc, Booz, etc to ATK, OW, Lek, marak, etc. help your MBA admissions?
Is it viewed as “not good” to go back to my alma mater for MBA? It’s a top 40 business school and got me into B4 consulting easily. School has strong recruiting presence in the region I want and I have a full ride for their FT program. Appreciate any thoughts!
Going off a post about MBAs, does anyone at Deloitte here has or in the process of competing a part-time MBA (Saturday class) at NYU while still traveling for work? I live a train ride away from NYC..
What would make MBA school worth it to you? On a call now where out of state tuition was $97k… that plus 2 years of lost wages could easily be a $400k price tag. I understand different schools cost different amounts but still wild.
Anyone done a masters in Human Computer Interaction (HCI)? If so, what do you do now and would you have rather done an MBA?
Offer from top VC backed startup. Currently at SC level. No MBA yet and would like to work at a VC fund. If I want to eventually work in VC, should I Join the Startup or go for a MBA?
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
What happens when you pass all 4 parts of the cpa exam? Does it expire even though there is an expiration date? How will I get official notification of passing?
Did you find that everything you learned in your undergrad/MBA was used on the job? Or did you barely apply what you learned and found most of your learning through hands-on experience?
Hi to everyone, My personal aim is to enroll in MBA study in two years but I’m not very fluent with English (B1+/B2). Should I prepare IELTS first and after GMAT or vice versa?
Has anyone here transitioned into teaching from another profession through alternative certification? Did you feel like you were prepared for the classroom by the end?
I’d much prefer a Christmas bonus over a holiday party. Even if it’s $500, I’ve mised, 3 out of the last 4 Christmas party’s (client obligations/ CPA exam) and about to miss another party.
Anyone have an MPA or MPP? Would like to hear how it's helped you in your career. Currently debating whether I should go for one/MBA or grad school altogether
If I can make Manager before I get into B-school (~4 years working at the firm), will I still have to opt for a Senior Consultant post MBA gig at a Tier 1/2 Management Consulting Firm?
When you're crushing your project meeting impossible timelines, but bad initial estimates you weren't involved in make it seem like you're whole team is lollygagging and blowing the budget. Le sigh.
Required Education. Almost all jobs nowadays requires a bachelor’s degree (rarely substitute by experience). If an applicant has all the job requirements, but lacks the education, are they automatically disqualified or filtered out? How flexible is HR with education if it is a requirement?
DM for a WMP referral!
Always baffled how in America we hire a director and an editor separately for the most part. And that many directors don’t supervise the edit. If you hire a director, aren’t you hiring for the vision they bring? And if so, wouldn’t you want that to translate thru the edit? In some other parts of the world the director has in house editors and it’s an orchestrated thing.

Can a parent break 529 and frivolously spend away? Can a parent break a trust fund he had previously setup for a child and spend it away? Legally going after it after the fact doesn’t work for me
Anyone know comp structure and salary, bonus, etc ranges for MD/Partner at Deloitte? Deloitte Digital. Thx!
What do you all do to go to the gym while traveling? I don’t like hotel gyms because they don’t have barbells, basketball courts, movement areas, etc. Any universal gym passes or discounts out there ?
How hard is it to get into MBB after graduating college versus being in college and applying for an entry-level roll? Specifically, I’m wondering what the chances are of getting into the MBB if I don’t secure an entry-level offer during my final recruiting cycle this fall. If I want, is it possible (or is there a way) to get into MBB a within months after I graduate?
Moving into a 1bedroom apartment and it’ll be my first time living alone! I’m excited to have my own space, but I’m afraid of feeling cooped up and lonely since I’ll be WFH for the foreseeable future. Any advice, tips, or must-have items to make it more bearable??
