I pay attention to the reviews- I especially pay attention if there's been an influx of positive reviews within a short period of time recently (obviously for companies that already have alot of negative reviews). I also pay attention to if there's a common theme with recent negative reviews. Use discernment.
Oh yes, I get that that’s happening at a company. I worked at recently. You know it’s HR tasking friends to do it.
I don’t pay attention to any online review anymore especially Glassdoor and Reddit . AI gives every incentive to game them. Ask someone who works there.
I don’t think they gave them to be negative.
I have been at companies who push people to post positive reviews and inflate the numbers. Then on the other hand I recognize that a lot of the negative reviews are from salty employees. I try and see if there are themes / patterns on the complaints and take it into account. But mostly i go off the interview process and vibes from that.
I interviewed with one company once where everybody said they treat women awful. That one I paid attention to.
I don’t (sorry Glassdoor), I mainly use it for salary comps
I sort of like to see it when I know there’s been a big layoff at a competitor so I can see what employees might reveal.
