Additional Posts in Londoners in Consulting
I have received an offer from PA Consulting , which I think will speed up my development by around 2 years, compared to staying where I am. (More diverse role, exposure, not just focused on one platform/product for which I currently am). In addition, the offer is also a large increase in package. I have only been at my current company for 6 months, however I would like to take the offer, how do I approach this?

£15k, local church and family friends field with marquee DIY festival with toilet hire, band & DJ was my mates and siblings, we self ran the bar bringing in some local kids drafted from my pub to be servers. Catering provided by a local chef, mother in law made desserts and wedding cake.
Should add, we bought and then sold on a lot of the additional things you don’t usually think of - lanterns, flower caddies, fire pits, which actually helped us clawback some spending.
£250-300k Indian destination wedding
Why are you a consultant may I ask. If spending £300k on a wedding, I would definitely do something much less taxing.
planning it now and my budget is £100k
the role is old (didn’t feel the need to update it after promotions) and the money comes from my family (that’s what my parents are giving and then anything over that will be paid out of me and my partners pocket). still in early stages of planning though so not sure what the final total will look like though aiming to keep it at or just under 100k :)

wow, thanks for the responses all! Any middle class consultants here lmao? All seem steep to me
Everything has a scale or a compromise…
Free bar vs guests pay
Canapés or none
Live band vs dj
Live ceremony music vs speakers
All day guest/evening guest ratio
A dress can be anything from £500 to £10000+
Spend money on the things that matter to you, everything else can be a compromise which you likely won’t remember.
£100k. Destination wedding, 120 guests.
If you are doing it local with 200-300 guests, with a reception party in the evening could be possible <40k but depends on venue, vendors, decorations, food etc.
