But if you tap into your reading comprehension skills, you’ll notice that the question was about “savings” not necessarily just liquid cash. For example, some people may have part of their savings in low-risk investments such as savings bonds

17k in high yield savings and 39k in investments. And own a house but that loan is a big debt
