Hi, I been working for Lloyds Bank for almost 9 years now , I recently attended a interview for Barclays and offered an Senior Business Analyst AVP role in Wealth and private banking area. I did not see much difference in the salary offered and it is pretty much same ie 68.5k.But the difference is current role is London based, however the Barclays one is based in Glasgow where cost of living is less in comparison. I am unable to decide whether to take the offer or not..any suggestions will be helpful pls.

Anyone just holding out paying as little as possible in case student loans ever get forgiven?

Every single penny I can scrape. And by the new year, it will be paid off. God wills it!
$82.50
$251.00. I have about $25k left at 1.8% fixed after graduating 21 years ago. All federal. Payed off the variable private loans that fluctuated between 3-7% over the years about 5 years ago.
They were 2.8% at graduation and then went down a point after paying on time for 5 years. Def helps to graduate at a time with low interest rates!
Slightly more than the minimum. Would rather put my income into savings/investments.
$5,000
$2.1k. 2.1% interest rate and its been ten years since I graduated law school. Had full loans and cost of living loans (no family help), and refied a few times to get down to this rate back in 2020. Have about $25k left.

$3020 and barely touching principal
My post is misleading because it’s for med school, not law school. Partner who is a resident (aka, making next to nothing) took out $420k for med school. I had no law school debt. But his grad school debt is our debt.
$1575. More than half of that was borrowed for living expenses, like mortgage and day care (was a single mom of 2 small children when I went to law school). Graduated in 2021.
$1350, but will double that soon
1800. I graduated in 2002!
$0. Graduated without any debt.
