Never, it's a pain to do, wastes people's time, and it's easy enough to figure it out by asking around on here.
Same. I avoid if i don't need to

Imagine reducing your human worth down to a “rate” and product on the “market”. Christ, capitalism is a cancer
C1, it’s nonsense to think that on a professional platform, talking about interviewing to asses market rate = OP talking about assessing “rate” as a person.
I have friends and family that I love dearly and are truly irreplaceable. That doesn’t mean I think they all have the same (or necessarily super high) market rates for the value they provide.
Passively: every few months when recruiters contact me. Actively: every 6 months on jobs I apply for. Good to know your market rate and have your sales pitch (and resume) refreshed.
I do as a great part of me still longs to exit consulting. 🫠
Once very year I check to see if I'm getting fair pay. I will be alive only so long so if I'm trading my time for money it's going to have to be the best return otherwise I'm only hurting myself. I have no interest in delaying my retirement to benefit my employer screwing me out of fair pay.
Do you check via interviewing? How would you handle not burning bridges if you get the offer but have to decline 🤔
Only if I am ready to leave my current role.
Yes, I regularly check my market rate and always update my resume.
