How often is it that Retail companies make their own theme songs? I know most of them have a little jingle or, of course, the commercials, but I’m talking about something similar to a really bad 2000’s song.

I’ve noticed that we have 3 or more songs that play over the speakers in the store. They talk specifically about Ocean State Job Lot and Crazy Deals. It’s like some sort of subliminal messaging stuff.

They can afford these ridiculous songs but can’t give us raises or livable wages? Insane.

Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.

I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Retail workers: are there any staff shortages where you work? Our store is 5 people short so we are all having to work overtime to make sure shifts are covered. It's exhausting.
