There’s no such thing as “too old” to start a business. Many entrepreneurs launch successful ventures in their 40s, 50s, or beyond. What really matters is your experience, passion, and willingness to learn and adapt. Starting a business takes grit, a clear plan, and resilience more than anything else. Age can sometimes influence investors, but a solid idea, strong execution, and proven market need outweigh age concerns.

Figure out what you think you wanna do, try it and if it’s something that you can actually sell scale it. In terms of investors it depends on what your product or service is. No one cares about age they care about how much they’ll make for investment and by when.
Sales, reputation and relationships are everything. Make sure you can pay the bills before making the jump.
No such thing as too old
Investors are only concerned with making their money and some more back. Have a solid idea, put it in action, and that’s all that really matters. As far as what it takes, just you being willing to learn and adapt quickly.
I'm in a local angel fund. The average founding age is 42.
I was 40 and went back to school for a totally new degree program, and at 49, I helped start a small home-based side hustle in addition to the other job. 51 in a few weeks and happy to be learning new things and not caring what others think about it. Gotta be me, whatever that is.
I'm 62 and started when I was 58. But its harder than I thought but I also do Nanotechnology.
