Please please do not ever use CTC comparison between current and next company. If you get an offer, do an in hand calculation. Some companies add Retirals like Employer PF, Gratuity along with Insurance, furniture allowance as part of your CTC. Others don't. Sone also have higher variable package. So when you do a CTC delta you may get a 20% hike but when you discount the above things you will fall short and may end up making less. So choose wisely.

Do any insurance carriers have part time positions? I’ve been an underwriter for about 4 years, but have been contemplating staying at home with my kids. Part time seems like the perfect balance, just not sure if I can find that in this industry.

I been at my job for three year now, for a while now I been applying for other positions within my job because I want to leave my department. I don’t feel value and appreciated. They would rather hired a new manager than promote within. I have had interviewed in the past and recently but I am told to wait in HR for the final step but never heard from there whether they approved my transfer or not. I am currently working at Accenture as Application development senior analyst with the CTC of 8LPA (3.5+years exp). I love my job here , all my leads are supportive and I can say I am way too much comfortable here. When I reach 5 years, definitely I will get TL promo here.
Now I have another offer in TCS with 11.5 LPA with same role(Senior Analyst).
Should I consider joining TCS for the package , or should I wait in Accenture for 1 year to get team lead promotion?

Anyone else hit a point where you were ready to leave the HR world too? I did… I acted. Sooo glad. I feel relief, freedom, excitement again! Resigned from an upper level mgmt role last month. Burned out, miss being independent and tired of the HR industry stigma and lack of appreciation at my company.

Is £48k a decent salary in London? That's roughly 3k net/month.
I'm a 27M, single.
I'm thinking of renting a room for 750/800 a month, that leaves me with ~£2100, if I get the Oyster card that's another 150, and for groceries/going out I guess I won't need more than 600/month.
That allows me to save ~£1400/month.
Am I being too optimistic/unrealistic?
