Applied for a B4 senior forensic role, but was not even granted an interview after my initial phone screen with HR; I’m confused why because i thought they needed bodies. The phone screen was basically HR asking if i have used google suite and tableau

Imagine you're looking for a remote job at a large company with a sophisticated marketing function, strong manager, and room for growth. Making good traction, but then you're contacted by a company in a niche that FASCINATES you...like you read books about this subject for fun, you'd probably love this job. It's remote, the salary is good, the manager is nice, but you'd be the most senior marketing person; the company is about 200 people. What would you do?

How bad does it look to future employers for an experienced attorney (15+ years) who is pivoting into a different practice area and looking to lateral after only having been at their current/first job for 4-5 months in the new practice area? I've been told by a recruiter that it's not a deal breaker because of my experience level. But many colleagues have suggested I remain where I'm at (miserable and unappreciated - just took a $20k pay cut) for at least a year.

How do potential employers look at a 4-6 month career break? Been at current job for less than a year and is mentally draining. I want to re-evaluate my career

What actions can be taken against new restrictions being imposed to prevent AirBnb hosting?

Pre pandemic, I listed my apartment on Airbnb when I was out of town traveling as a way to supplement my income. I knew many people who did the same. Airbnb was also my go to as a traveler for an affordable place to stay.

Renting an Airbnb is the only affordable way to visit the city unless your lucky enough to have friends or family that live here. These restrictions hurts NYC locals and visitors.

Auditors (I am not one) - PAJE = passed adjusting entry or Proposed Adjusting Entry settle this debate for me.

Please Advise!

• Currently working for US & Canada Direct Tax Compliance with 3 year's of experience and 1 year experience in project management .
• Have always been excited about audit but never got an opportunity badly want
to shift to audit.
• Currently pursuing CPA.

> Is it good to change to audit now, considering I've 4 year's of non-audit experience. Can I?

> If possible can anyone refer or help me get into Audit?

What are typical hourly billable rates from big 4 for external audit services by role? New York or California.

I am on an internal IT audit project. The manager in charge and the director have no IT OR Audit experience. I’ve done both internal and external audits. They both said not to rely on audit standards when discussing gaps with the client. How do you do this? Serious question

For experienced Deloitte professionals considering a transition to industry, a fast-growing biotech company near San Francisco is hiring for a SOX Compliance Manager and Senior Accountant/Manager roles.

Generous benefits, strong, fun company culture, and stock options are VERY favorable. Message me if interested, and I will try to screen you for an interview!

Does DT reimburse CPA fees if say you write your exams whilst working outside of Audit, eg Consulting , and then return to Audit after passing all courses.
