Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

This is a controversial topic. I think balanced literacy has a place in education. I agree with Commissioner Christopher Davis that Black and brown students are used as political footballs. It's reminiscent of the poverty pimps of the 1980 and 1990s that would exploit Title 1 schools to gain relevance and advance their careers with experiments then abandon the schools once they had obtained notoriety.
But I firmly believe that along with balanced instruction teacher preparation programs need to have phonics instruction and concentrated instruction on how to assist students with Dyslexia, disgraphia, and discalculia.
Students with processing challenges that can't process audio language or written language well suffer. Their esteem plummets.
Explicit phonics instruction is needed and does not have to mean worksheets. It can be interactive and engaging.
Culturally Relative Teaching should also be a concentrated part of teaching programs. I have seen teachers with exceedingly biased attitudes against minority students. Yet they will swear to the moon and back that they aren't racist or that they can compartmentalize their"political" beliefs.
At the elementary level students will refuse to cooperate or learn if they think the teacher doesn't like them. And they can always tell if a teacher doesn't like them.
I had a relative that was a principal. She often had to counsel students who misbehaved or did the child version of quiet quitting and get across to them that the teacher still gets paid whether you learn or not and the that it is in your best interest to make an effort even if you don't like the teacher. You're the one who gets hurt. They would shape up after that. This anecdote highlights how important it is to have culturally relevant teaching and build healthy positive relationships with students and their families.
