Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

Cancel and be honest. Interviews take up a bunch of time. It’s valuable time if the candidate is actually available/interested/competent/capable, but a waste of time if any of those aren’t true. Be honest that you accepted another offer and appreciate their interest and would have loved to meet with them but respect their time (and yours) too much to waste it with an interview that has no chance of resulting in an accepted job offer.
Agree with this. Honestly and transparency all around is a good move
I would go. It’s always good to meet people face to face. It’s also about building your network. Make a good impression and stay in contact. You don’t know when you may need those contacts later on
You have an offer not a job. There’s a big difference. Go on the interviews.
Deals fall through. Go and let them down easy once you have blood on the paper.
I was always told to go, and meet with them to build your network.
I would go. But be honest that you have another offer. Always good to make connections. Especially in this business where people move around a lot.
Be upfront and honest about the role you accepted. If they still want to speak with you, go and listen. The best advice I ever received was to go and listen even if you aren't looking. It may not be a fit but, you'll have met a hiring manager and have gained their perspective.
I would go.
I would go too. Networking is important. And I would only maybe decline if I had everything signed by the company who made the offer
I second the opinion that it's always good to meet people - also, congrats! 🎉
Keep in mind, employers can rescind an offer.
Yep. If you made a commitment stick with it. You had those interviews on the books already and still decided to take the offer. Stick with your decision. On the flip side...where any of the interviews for a job you wanted more? Only reason I could think to waiver
Update: so I was transparent with both places I had scheduled interviews. I was super grateful with them and explained I didn’t want to waist anyone’s time. Offered to come in anyway. One place was super nice about it. They asked me to still come in. They wanted to get to know me and I’m really glad I went. The other not so nice. They didn’t even reply. Ekkk 😐 it was my third time coming in to speak with them so it’s not like I didn’t invest time. I think it says a lot about the people working there. The recruiter could of at least written back and said “thanks for letting us know” or even a “fuck you” would of been good. Sigh 😔 it’s done. And hopefully I made the right choice!!
I'd cancel and just setup time outside of interview to network
Nop, cancel it...
Are you saying he should take the interview as a back up plan? Why? He already liked the agência he’s going to
If they like your work/book you’ll meet them at the right time to make something real happen.
Go. To earlier comments nothing is sure until it’s in stone. Plus you always play your strongest hand when it’s with the house’s money.
GO!
Cancel. You don’t want to waste anyone’s time, including your own. Congratulations on the job!
yeah, going is good for you, but selfish and disrespectful to everyone else. if you’re 100% taking the offer from the other place, don’t waste this agency’s time.
now, if you’re still on the fence, go to the interview. you may have your mind changed
