I'm wanting to know what people think is better. Kaiser or ucla health for working as an admin staff. Ucla seems to have good pay from what I see on the job descriptions but kaiser only shows pay grade. Ucla has pension and a raise it seems every year. But I was alao told kaiser offers a dollar each year as a raise. I want a place I can grown and stsy Long term. Any one have any insight on kaiser and what they offered.UCLA Health Kaiser Permanente

I’ve always leaned toward giving a little gift, but nothing too extravagant. Something like a handwritten note or a small token of appreciation goes a long way without feeling over-the-top.
I've always worked in situations where it would have been frowned upon to give a gift to one's boss. But on a few occasions I've given them small things, usually some Christmas candy. It's more like a little stocking stuff than a gift, and it seems like the polite thing to do.

Generally, no. My favorite does get homemade cookies though.
I usually give baked goods to my boss. Just a little mini loaf of pumpkin bread in a cute cello bag to her and my team members in the office. They all look forward to it!
As a manager, though, I always told my people under me to save their money. Just because I was giving them a gift did not mean they should reciprocate. I never expected anything from them. Those that didn’t listen and gave me “purchased” gifts made things awkward. If it was just a holiday card or a few cookies, that’s just fine, but anything more made me uncomfortable.
