I am 95% sure another guy in my department at work is gay. He has 2 kids with a woman. I honestly thought he was gay until he mentioned the wife recently. I feel bad if he’s not able to be his true self. I’m thinking of asking him if he is gay, or bringing up the topic somehow. He’s more flamboyant than just about any other gay man I’ve encountered tbh. It would be nice to have a gay friend at work or help him be his true self.

I have a wee crush on one of the partners in my firm and I thought he liked me too, but neither of us did anything about it (which is entirely appropriate). That was all pre-Rona. I went to a T14 law school, got great grades and glowing recommendations, and wrote (what I thought was) a great writing sample. But I got rejected from all 70 federal clerkships I applied to.
