I am a 7 year litigation associate and so burnt out on it. I have applying to in house and other positions and not getting traction. My experience is mostly insurance defense/coverage, and most of the positions out there seem to be for tech or transactional work. I also come from smaller firms and a smaller school, so no big names behind me. All the recruiters I’ve talked to will only peg me as an insurance defense associate and won’t send me anything else. How do I get out of litigation?

I am an IT Professional with 15 + years of experience of which 12 years in mainframe programming across various domains insurance, banking, telecom etc currently working as a senior Technichal Business Analyst for Lending completed the Pspo1 certificate recently. Experienced with both Agile and water fall model well versed in scrum master and PO roles Would it be a nice idea to switch as a product owner .

You did an interview and your interviewer apologized that the travel time 180minutes was much higher than 30minutes scheduled time for the interview and that It could have been done remotely, but she has to follow the process. I am still waiting for feedback though.

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

I am a traditional reservist so I never really used military benefits before, but could use advice here.

I am currently renting and my lease is not up until October 2021, however I found a good deal on a home and scheduled to close in June 2021.

I have been overworked and overwhelmed at my current job for quite a while. This is my first position out of law school, small firm with large caseload, and in my second year of practice. I often think I should look for another opportunity elsewhere but I don't know that any other firms would give me the potential for growth and experience that I am getting here. I work with great people. Really can’t say anything bad about my firm in general either. But…I still dislike the entire premise of law firm life, the billable hour, etc.. I’m a fifth year associate who is ready to get out of litigation (and private practice altogether). I’ve only ever done professional malpractice (legal, med mal, etc) and feel like those skills will not transfer as well if I had done transactional work. Ideally I would like to transition to something in-house. Any suggestions as to what jobs/industries I could transfer into with only litigation experience?
