I am a senior (and CPA) at a larger regional firm (we have around 1,000 employees) I want to leave public accounting but am not sure what the other options are for me. I try looking into it online but google just lists a bunch of generic positions that doesn’t really help. In my current position I do a mix of A&A (Reviews and Comps) and the tax returns. Any thoughts on good positions outside of public? p.s I also have some banking experience from when I was in college to (commerce credit)

Anyone else here realized they have some alcohol moderation issues? I graduated college within the past 1.5 yrs and my friends are still in the heavy weekend drinking phase. I have realized I need to cut my drinking way down. I don’t drink every day and won’t crave a drink when I’m sober but it’s like once I start I don’t typically stop. I only drink about 2 times a week, but it’s the volume of drinks that’s the issue. I’m not ready to quit - just cut down a lot! Tips/advice appreciated! TIA :)

I'm a data analyst(SQL, Python, ETL, Viz) with 6.5yrs exp at LTI(1 Month exp).
I left PWC AC after 6 months of joining because of the nature of dabba work I was getting(80% testing/documentation, 20% technical). Worked for 12+ hrs everyday and wanted to have some wlb.

Now in LTI, life is too peaceful and there's no technical work in current project. I'm getting thoughts like I'm wasting my skills by taking less tech projects at this stage of career.

At the end of the interview, the person told me I passed the interview and they were going to talk to the Director who’s a level under them. It’s a yes for them and they’re happy to work with me.
