I am a senior patent litigation partner in BigLaw with a $30-40M portable book (with team) and looking to connect with a strong legal recruiter. The recruiters I have worked with in the past are not available for various reasons, so I would greatly appreciate recommendations for trusted professionals who have experience placing lateral partners. Thank you in advance for any referrals!

My partner used Damato Search Group to move our group a while back. He still raves about Stephen Damato

Thanks!

I’ve worked with Randi Lewis at MLA for years off and on as I’ve debated switching big law firms. Always very committed and thoughtful advice, grounded in what’s best for me (which several times has meant staying put). Based on the east coast but works all over and can probably find a solid colleague if she isn’t the right fit as your move is very specific and different from me looking to move individually. Kudos on a great book!

I am back to practicing but did a stint in associate and partner recruiting so have some visibility from the inside. Gloria Sandrino at Lateral Link has a decade or two of experience in moving partners and groups, and has really good national market insight and connections with a large spectrum of AmLaw 100 and 200 firm leadership (she taught Stephen Damato and a whole generation of recruiters how to navigate partner lateral moves!).

If you are in NYC, Ryan Belville with Macrae has command of that market and Sarah Morris is high performing on the West Coast. Amy Savage with Garrison is the one to work with in DC.

Stacey Gaulding and Kelly Newman at Gaulding Legal helped several large IP groups move in the last few years.

I aspire to be in your position one day. I’m sure you are plenty busy, but if I could DM you to hear a bit more about your journey, I’d really appreciate it!

We are looking to add someone to our group. Would you be interested in chatting?

It would need to be my team as well.

Where are you located geographically?

Talk to Jennifer Gillman at Gillman Strategic Group. Her motto is finding Rainmakers the Perfect Fit.

Hi, I can definitely help you with that, I'm a senior recruiter with a big recruiting company and we have helped many partner teams lateral, let me know if you'd be up for a quick chat, thank you

Is it any surprise we’re seeing mass layoff in tech? Years of rich friends hiring rich friends with no work ethic has lead us here. I know way too many tech people who work maybe an hour a day followed by errands and traveling. A lot of getting in these places is who you know, apparently that doesn’t work out like it used to. The amount of people who worked for Meta, Apple, Amazon, etc for a few months / maybe a year is astounding. it’s around that time frame a boss can tell if you’re worth it
