Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??
What do you do if you feel stuck in your career?
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

In my experience in situation like this... You've got the job already. They'll call you within two weeks and tell you your salary without letting you negotiate!!
No... They are not trying to do anything... This is just the process.... With a lot of companies.. and the salary would also be good... However if you are not satisfied... Then u can negotiate with them..
Fairly
Common to meet with HR at beginning and even end of a process. HR is there to ask overall career questions to better understand often the long term relationship you may have. Bc it’s more expensive to hire someone than it is to retain. Also probably to get sense of whether the amount they’ve budgeted for role fits with your desired salary.
Rising Star
You are in process. Having 4 to 5 interviews is not unusual. Each interviewer will evaluate you and then you will be hired upon consensus. The HR person is interviewing you to see if you fit their culture. If they are a large enough company you will get the job offer from the talent acquisition person. Everyone has their role to play. Salary negotiations will come once you have the offer. I am assuming that they've asked you what compensation you would like and have ascertained if that would fit within the range. You will find working in an industry much different than academia. Good luck!
Thank you for your insight. Yes. I have worked for academia for a long time. It does make me a bit nervous about the HR director interview. She said she has a psychology degree. Well.. she might check on and ensure I don't have personality issues. I did not very happy my performance yesterday. But I don't think I was crazy or behaviour weirdly. Hopefully, the decision has already been made and pscycjolyst is just to check on red flags...
I think it’s just part of their interview process. Process is different for each company in some ways. Not exactly sure this means you already have the job, as one other Fish eluded to though…but hope you do. Good luck to you! 🍀
Update of the progress. After 7 days, the recruiter contact me saying that " just in touch base to let you know that you are still in consideration of that role, the hiring manager hopes to make a decision next week. "
What does this mean? The hiring process is slow and she needs more time to do paperwork?
Or, they have offered the job to someone and I am a back up plan?
That is what I am doing right now
