I am at the last stage of interview in an industry role. I left out my latest experience in public accounting because I started there 6 months ago and didn’t want to raise questions of why I’m interviewing 2 months into the job. Is this something that will get me in trouble during background check? And what should I answer if they directly ask me if I’m currently employed or not in my final interview this week? FYI they know I left my previous job because I moved states.

Just heard my H1B petition was approved. Visa will be valid starting Oct 1, 2021. I am also scheduled to get promoted in October (unsure of which date exactly). Hypothetically, if I get promoted from Account Coordinator to Account Manager I on Oct 5, after my H1B kicks in on Oct 1, how would this work logistically? Planning on going back to home country and also getting the visa issuance in Dec. Similar experience, anyone? Appreciate your input.

Since EY Law does not provide evidence of filling for H1b, how sure can one be that the company really filed for them? With the high rate of H1b denials, I doubt EY Law really filed for everyone.
