I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

That's a really high salary for Spain, and that role, so I'm pretty surprised by those numbers. Is it a foreign (and legit) company? If so, you won the lottery!
I agree! I finally heard back from them and accepted the offer but now they have to setup the company here in Spain, which will take about a month and until then, I cannot sign the contract. They are super legit, have offices around the world and deal with immigration packages for HNW individuals. I had been applying to jobs for over a year and got rejected mostly because of my age (62) so I am over the moon with this offer. It does involve long-haul traveling so let's hope my not-so-young body can keep up with my much younger mind :).
Did you sign an offer letter? If you did, I would wait, especially since your contact (the CEO) is traveling frequently. You and the CEO agreed on the offer, and you accepted. Likely, he or she is very busy with day-to-day operations in addition to his or her travels. If you didn't sign an offer letter, you may have been ghosted. I would let it be at this point and continue to job search in case the CEO doesn't follow up, but I think he or she will reach out eventually. Good luck!
Thanks for the encouragement! I actually met with the CEO today and diplomatically expressed my concerns and he assured me that he wanted to do things by the book and wait until the company is legally operational in Spain before I can sign my contract, so that has put my mind at ease. His literal words were “I do need you to help me and the offer still stands, but I have gone without an EA for the last 5 years so I can wait for one more month”. Still, until that contract with my start date, salary etc is not signed, I will remain cautiously optimistic.
