Hey fishes,
I have given the interview in Hexaware and later on I got the email to fill the CAF form which is also done. Nos it's been 20 days and no call, no e-mail at all! I can see the status as offet pending.
I am on notice period and I have only 1 month remaining.
Is it like, hexaware will release the offer at the end time or something! Because I'm eagerly waiting for the offer as I don't have much time now!

Or.. come in early so you can leave early is the "fair" offer.
But if you want to ask during the hiring phase (I recommend you do), just ask if they have any kind of flexible schedule policy.
35 mins is a reasonable commute. Usually flexing moves your hours, it doesn’t compress them. Shift to come in early and leave a little earlier
I did this. I asked if there is any chance or option of a flex start time. For me, my commute is nearly 1.5 hrs so I leave with my brother whose commute is 2 hours meaning I usually arrive anywhere from half an hour to an hour early.
I asked about flex time and if arriving an hour early means I'm allowed to leave an hour early with understanding that close periods might mean exceptional OT in the office OR that I'm fine with leaving am hour early (during close) but will continue the work at home.
I have a similar commute. It's 27 minutes without traffic but a few times it was 50 minutes because of rush hour and construction. After that I would bring my gym bag and work out near the office to wait out rush hour. I spent less time in traffic and came home feeling like I could relax instead of having to immediately get ready to work out.
Can you do something like that?
Id suggest breaking it down for the hiring manager the next time you connect with them (before start date). Should just be a pretty simple conversation. If the company is strict about 40 hour min work week I’d also suggest making up hours remotely at home, so it nets out to same if it adds any comfort to them.
Did you accept the position already? If yes, then you accepted the terms as is. Your commute is not extreme by any stretch of the imagination , and it’s only two days a week. Maybe it’s a generational difference, but as a gen x-er, I think this is a high-maintenance expectation. I’m also used to 30-mile one-way, hour-long commutes.
Ask, there's always a chance they have flexibility around this. Best of luck.
