By public sector practice do you mean AFS? If so an MBA doesn’t really matter and 175 is incredibly good for that YOE
No.,ACcenture H&PS. I actually have more YOE prior to Accenture. Within Accenture it is 3 years
You need to strive for next level Sr. manager to get a significant base pay increase. Work with your people lead and practice lead. Share your goal for next level and ask what else you need to do to get there next promotion cycle. Ensure your practice lead knows your base goal at next level, by next December latest is 235k. You got this! Don’t look back, just forward. Meanwhile.. do your resume and look for this number outside Accenture as well.
newly promoted SM (non mba) here at acn, I was bumped to 262k base in strategy, my M1&M2 was 177.5 then 215
Do you have in demand skills and certifications? I just made manager and make over 185k base
Tech
I’m an experienced hire with an MBA and making 80k base 🙃
Not a manager, but thought that might lift your spirits 😂
I make about that with a masters as a manager. Technology consulting does not care about MBAs. You need to either push for SM or go elsewhere unfortunately.
I will add that MBA will make it easier if you do pivot to industry.
T10 MBA here in ACN Strat as a Manager at $225k base. Came though ASCDP FWIW.
What skills are required for tech or business strategy roles at ACN?
MBA helps when you are planning to reach partner or MD. Just moved to ACN Strat as M, Base 225K with 8 YOE, no MBA.
A7 I guess that is the reason why many make jumps. Homegrown comp range will never be the same as new hires, unless the cap/skill is a niche.
Whoooaaa only making $120k
Which practice?
I have 2 counselees at L7 with bases over 190
Your salary is ahead of a lot of other L7 with 36 MAL, not sure what region you're in or your COL index but unless it's a T1 city I'd say you're higher in the band. 5k increase in 3 years is low, I would assume you'd be 185 ish if you've been through 3 full performance years. How have your bonuses been?
160-190
Rising Star
You only got a 5k raise in 3 years?
What about bonuses?
Where’s your MBA from?
Try doing BD like working on proposals for influential MDs you know of in TS, if you are part of the development phase of a proposal you are more likely to get staffed on it should you be available. Applying for roles will get you nowhere, it’s about forging relationships, that’s how our business works. After you get a few you under your belt you can transfer and it will be easier
