Hello, anyone’s (big law) firm good with remote/hybrid? Corporate/transactional if that helps. Trying to consider how doable it would be to live farther away and commute in 2 or 3x per week, as necessary/useful.

Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?

Guys , who have worked / currently residing in Singapore please suggest, I have two offers 30 LPA in India and 7500 SGD / month (contractual) in a big 4 firm in Singapore. Moving to TIAA from PwC on 40% salary hike is a good idea ?

There must be some tech/non-tech role out there that:
1. Is high paying (6 figures a month)
2. Has good WLB.
3. You don't need to be very intelligent/genius for it.
4. Requires good communication/presentation skills
5. The interview isn't that difficult.
Give or take 1 or 2 points, is this a real scenario? Or just a dream?

There is buzz word :: career transition. Say doing something for a long yrs and learning new technology to switch from A to B tech stack.

How can it really be acheived from experience and salary standpoint?

Let's say I am a java developer from last 10yrs. Now I want to learn front end techs and be front end developer(full stack). Will I be that efficient in the project level like a person who is doing FE work from last 10yrs?

Will it impact my performance?
How team will understand that?

Can BCA degree holder get the same opportunities as Btech in the software industry?
