I have had seven interviews with one company and was told I was their candidate of choice; however, they are holding off on hiring until the next quarter due to the economic volatility happening right now. I send my resume and cover letter out extensively, but other than this one position, no takers. Has anyone taken the Google Project Management Certification course through Coursera? Need advice. Interviewing for an internal role to lead a team adjacent to my current team. I’m trying to prepare for the interview, during which I’ll be asked to share my plan for the team. I’ve worked with two of the people on the team who will report to whomever gets this job. I’d like to ask them about the team and what they want/wish were different, but I’m not sure it’s wise to tell them I’m interviewing to be their boss. Not does it feel right to ask under false pretences. Thoughts?
