Now they have asked me to attend L3 interview Tomrw?
Any idea why they want to have one more round after HR discussion?

I started traveling while working remote and fell in love with the mountains. I’m now applying to be a full time remote employee and fear they won’t approve it.

1st yr at a nyc v50 firm doing general transactional work. I know the lateral market for transactional lawyers is hot but not as hot for juniors. I just want a change of scenery because my current firm is bleeding good associates / not giving great training imo / and just seems small. Would lateralling this early feasible? Would it look bad on my resume?

It feels very telling that there are so few people in this group. Any thoughts on that? It feels like the vast majority of people managers only want the title and don’t want to worry about their people.

Been struggling lately

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Personally I am happy and love the work but fear for my career progression.

As a beginning consultant, all this free food and hotel stays do help my bank account. I buy significantly less grocery than my other non-consultant friends and I get to sleep on a king size bed.
