Received an offer at an advertising agency for a senior role (slightly more money) and torn on taking the offer or not. This would be my first stint with an ad agency. Potential reasons against: 1) risk? I’m in the safe side already 2) longer hours? 3) less upside growth potential?

I have only seen visa workers informing current company once H1B VISA transfer is approved. Any suggestions on how to get an counter offer from current company?

I started a new job back in October and after a few weeks in, I came to find out the job was a lot different than what I thought it was gonna be. I like the company as a whole, but my position is not for me and is causing a lot of stress and anxiety. There aren’t any other positions at the company open that would fit my background so I am unsure what to do? I also want to note that this job is in a different time zone so I have been working 11-8PM which adds to my stress with late nights.

Hi, I have an offer from GlobalLogic for Senior QE Manager. They are offering ₹36 lpa fixed + ₹4 lpa bonus (which is paid out 100%) = approx ₹40.5 lpa. I have my HR round scheduled with Morgan Stanley this week for Vice President QA position (designation is equivalent to Senior QA Manager). I'm thinking of quoting ₹43 lpa base (comes to approx. ₹47 lpa including PF etc.). Would this be a reasonable ask? Pls comment. YOE 17 in Quality Engineering (Java/Selenium/Test Management). Thanks.

recently promoted to senior analyst into a new group (internal transfer). Been in the role for 2 months, and everytime I make a mistake I always get anxious that I'm going to be fired. Most of my (few to begin with) mistakes are minor, and its a pretty different role from what i was doing before tbh... anyone have any advice for this anxiety? in general how bad do u have to be to get fired, and how many chances do you get lol. is it possible one mistake sends u home if its big enough?

Just got my Schengen tourist visa (to France) rejected. I have an expired h1b visa stamp but approval until 2025. I mailed in my application (because I’d gotten this visa many times) and reason given was “insufficient reason for your trip”. Anyone has experience with this and can advise? 😭

I got an email from a BCG recruiter for a coffee chat. They said this was with regard to BCG unlock. What is this about? Does everyone who applied for Unlock receive this? I’ll be going to a T-15 MBA program this fall.

Have seen comp for NACR (restructuring) listed at around 150-200 for analysts, 200-275 for associates, and one mention of senior associates at 375k. Supposedly NACR gets crushed in terms of hours. But i've also read that targets are around 2000 hours per year? Something doesn't add up.....e.g. Associate $550/hr * 25% cap rate * 2000 billable hrs = $275k.......but 2000 hours is slightly over 40 hours a week (including 4 weeks vacay), not the 80 hr/week. So is there a ton of time on vacation?
