Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
There is a Part-time contract opportunity available for experienced Web-Engineers (Tech Lead level) (100% remote). Project Client is a Japanese Tech firm.
Flexible hours (~24 hrs/week) and INR 1000-1200 / Hour Pay.
Monthly ~90-100 Hours
Selection Process: 1 Coding Assignment (1.5-2 Hrs. max.) + 1

I’ve never done this but I’m 99% sure you’re not allowed to do that.
I believe if your firm got you the clearance it is a “Sponsored clearance”. Not sure if that means the company itself has some rules around its use.
But I also don’t think you should double use it. Ethically, legally, it’s grey area but leaning towards darker grey haha
Anyone has 2 jobs here? How do u do it?
If you’re considering such an arrangement, the safest and most advisable route is to first have a candid discussion about the proposed arrangement with both employers’ human resources or legal departments. Be prepared to present a clear plan for differentiating work hours/tasks for one employer from the other; demonstrate through non-proprietary information (e.g. company brochures, etc.) that no conflict of interest exists; and document the exchange carefully in written format, such as emails. Securing both employers’ informed consent in writing may be vital to protecting your interests down the road.
Nah your good. My coworker Ubers on the side.
Yeap thats what i meant
Aren't active clearances sponsored by the company you work for? I doubt you can work two jobs using your clearance.

You’re not allowed to do that
It is a sponsored clearance initially completed by different company, now am using the clearance for a company that didn’t sponsor me, am planing on getting 2nd remote job. The 2nd job doesn’t require clearance for the first few months but down the road they would want me to use one so thats where i am at now. Hopefully it aint a problem untill they request to use my clearance
Got it, thanks for the input guys.
