I am planning to apply to various HFs (Two Sigma, Citadel, etc). Is it better to apply directly through their site or are there benefits of going through a recruiter?

   I attempted the interview for naggro. I cleared the written test and two technical discussions. In the HR round, HR told me that we also interviewing other candidates for this position who is the best fit they will receive the offer letter. My doubt is if they feel I am not completely fit for this position why they took the interview?  

How honest should you be in an exit interview?

I had an interview with a firm today and they asked about my billable hours and whether I met them. I said no, but that other associates in my very small group have the same issue, and that we all have around the same number of hours. As the hiring firm, would you be satisfied or concerned with this answer?

So.. I have a question.. If in any interview round, especially let's it's Managerial interview round or so to say last round of interview (not HR) someone asks the current and expected salary, should we answer it? Or should we politely decline to answer? Because sometimes I have thought the interview went well and see no response from the HR while the salary expectations already told to the HR before any interview? I fear the Manager might think one is overpaid or something and give a negative?

I was laid off about 3 years ago. In 2020 I took a job as a specialist after being in leadership for 10 years. I think my current title of specialist is not helping me land interviews for leadership positions. Any advice is appreciated.

Looking for some advice/suggestions here. 24 years old, TC is now 110k. I have 40k cash savings. $6,500 in my 401k and $6,400 in Roth IRA. Just was promoted and wondering if that’s too much cash to hold onto AND if contributing to a Roth makes sense. I contribute 7% with 100% match and 10% profit sharing at the end of the year to the 401k. Contributing $550 a month to the Roth. Would appreciate any ideas as I know it’s a good spot but just wanted to see if it’s the smartest approach.

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?

Wondering if there's any tips out there for attaining a significant pay jump/career move. Been in retail banking for years, teller up to branch manager. Pandemic hit and that was the exit sign for me. Found this current position within my company and took it bc it's wfh and touches on a piece of what I like which is aml and risk. But the pay is just not there, I'm struggling to pay bills and I know I'm worth so much more but I have not been able to figure out how to get from point A to point B.
