I am seriously done with living pay check to pay check. How will we ever buy a house in toronto and settle down. Living at a rental place and struggling to save downpayment. Living in canada has gotten so damn expensive!

Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge. For my mental health I really think I need an extended break (like 3 months). I have about 60k liquid to sustain myself and pay about $1500 a month in rent.

Me and My so presently live in Arkansas, living in our first home with a child 4 year, both of us recently changed our jobs and have HHI ~ 420K, current mortgage 1600/month. Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA.
