Have you done any research? Maybe look up the website for schools in the area where you are moving to. Most schools have openings published on their websites. This is not the best time to be hunting for teaching jobs as most schools have filled any open positions for this year. My suggestion would be to get on their lists for substitute teachers. Then when they do hire, they will know you. Also, you will have an idea of what schools will be a good fit for you as well.

I served and I understand your situation. My first stop would be to the base employment agency. In some places, spouses are a rung or two up on hiring priority. Assuming your husband is in until retirement, I would also reconsider the type of job to seek. Ask yourself this: what job or type of job can I do that would be needed on any military base? PX/BX workers, day care, admin, civilian contractors, etc. Remember that some of these are nationwide networks that can be utilized down the road on your next move. Speaking of networks, odds are you and your husband already know somebody there that you met on a previous assignment. Look and start reaching out to those folks now to lay some groundwork for the move and a possible job. Your husband signed up, but you too also serve. Thank you to both of you. Hang in there!

Thank you and your husband for y’all service. Military families don’t have it easy, that’s for sure. Hope you find your fit, soon!
We appreciate your husband service in the military. It’s good to know deep down your gut that you may not be able to find a job in another state. Change can be pain, however, embracing flexibility, be open to change, be optimistic, change your words. There’s a power in the words we speak. Prophesied that regardless the situation there’s a job for me where I am going. Receive favor and your heart’s desires! Shalom.
As a military wife & teacher we were always surrounded by those in the military community.Reach out to those in your community. They will be a great resource and a comfort while you settle in.

Maybe you could teach online
I can totally understand how overwhelming that feels — moving is a huge change on its own, and worrying about jobs on top of it just adds extra weight. A lot of military spouses I’ve met found peace of mind by exploring online income streams that move with them. For example, setting up a simple website and reselling products can give you flexibility and control no matter where you’re stationed. It’s something you can grow at your own pace without depending on the local job market. Even just looking into it could give you a sense of relief that you have options. If you’re curious, maybe take a little time to explore how reselling works. And have you ever thought of selling stuffs online?
