It’s pretty useless at Dentons. Unless you’re actually providing real changes, I would advise not even participating because it’s just going to kind of waste your time.
What is that?
Advocate, or just manage expectations and attempt to reduce turnover without actually doing anything?
We have groups organized by the age of the kids (roughly pre-k, elementary, jr high/hs) that meet about once a month for a guided discussion. I like being able to discuss industry specific concerns and problems with my colleagues and peers, but I wish we could get enough people involved that we could divide it by partners, associates, and staff, since we seem to have different problems and concerns.
A group should not be required. The existence of the group shows how far the firm has to go o the issue
I dislike that it's mostly discussions. Those are nice but I'd like to see solutions, options, things we can do to survive not just complain about them.
