Heyhey.
Looking to hire a product UX/designer to freelance and help design + run ideation workshops for our Fortune 100 client looking to drive innovation and create/incubate b2c apps.
Would be great if you also knew how to set up an intake form to get a specific brief in order to design the workshop.
Bonus if you know how to design and set-up early stage usability experiments via landing pages/figma to validate problems/solutions before developing a MVP.

Your experience runs counter to my experience minus a few exceptions. You generally aren’t long for consulting if you aren’t personable, relatable, and efficient with your, and other’s, time.
Not my experience at all. Sorry it is yours.
SC1 relax I thought things were already sorted at your end

One would argue that companies hire consultants , so that their employees can cosplay as Teletubbies all day while consultants do the dirty work.
Respectful, sure. They are efficient ? Highly doubt it. Solving real problems? Eh…
Consulting deserves a lot of the criticism thrown its way, but let’s not undersell ourselves.
My direct experience is we run better stand-ups internally than I see most clients running. I have seen some seriously bad client stand-ups, and a lot of "status taker" type roles at clients that add little to no value. You're on a bad project with a bad leader. It happens. Do what you can to get switched off.
My client runs standups but they do it as complaint sessions on every task from the team if completed or to be completed. I have never seen blatant disrespect to individuals elsewhere
This has been the case for me to in consulting most if the managers are horrible and the stand-ups are inefficient, undermining, and just there to check off a box
At the moment though this is my bread and butter, I do not understand why anyone would hire consultants for the toxicity they bring. There are only a few exceptions.
Why there are too many people from same ethnc background? Is there a framework to ensure diversity ?
Honestly I moved out of EY into a well known company that seemed like a safe haven compared to the Big 4… I hate it here. If you’re ex Big 4 you’re hated by your peers who don’t have the same background. Menial tasks require weeks of “collaborative“ work and sign off by the top dogs when they could be done quicker and better by a select few. the politics here seems worse than it did back at EY. Sure EY has its downsides but so does industry. I’m actually moving back in a few months, just waiting to hand in my notice.
These consultant contractor companies are akin to human trafficking. I feel you. Keep records of everything that happens with your employer. They once "missed" my salary payment for a few months in response to forgetting to submit my timesheet on time. I didn't say anything, but I have it documented when the time comes. That's one of many things I have documented.
