It actually sounds like a really good move for you. Go.
In the meantime, put out feelers for a new job. But regardless, go.
Never leave a job without another lined up.
So true. Unless you can actually move back to your parents home I would not advise doing this.
Reduce your costs/overhead, move home and continue to find your next endeavor. No shame. It’s smart. Times are tough. My 20 something son lives with me. He’s got a good job and my goal is to support him until he has the means to strike out on his own and find his own place. That’s what family is all about. Good luck!
Also see if your current job would allow you to be remote so you can move back home and continue to look for a new job but maintain employment. It’s a tough job market. Took me almost 2 years to find a new job
I’m on 546 days and feeling so discouraged. I’ve made it to 6 final round interviews with heavy projects required. I’m honestly just sad, discouraged, and all the other words.
Not sure what city you're in but Chicago is home to a lot of the CPGs if you want to stay in it, Kimberly Clark, Kraft Heinz. ConAgra. Things are tough right now, if you can stay working remotely, I'd do that. The job market is like one I haven't seen.
As long as it's feasible, go for it.
